Pre-registration has opened for the "Expert Witness Refresher Training" to be organized by our center.

About the Refresher Training

Pursuant to Article 30 of the Regulation on Expert Witnessing, published in the Official Gazette dated August 3, 2017 (Issue No. 30143):

Expert witnesses are provided with refresher training—comprising both theoretical and practical components and totaling at least 6 hours—every three years by institutions authorized to conduct expert witness training.
Expert witnesses are required to attend refresher training during the third year following their registration in the official roster.
Expert witnesses who fail to attend the refresher training cannot apply to serve as expert witnesses again until they have completed this training.

Training Details

Training Duration: 6 Hours
Training Method: Face-to-face
Training Content: Theoretical and practical training
The start date, class days, and times will be determined based on participant availability; the training schedule and further details will be communicated separately to candidates who have completed the pre-registration process.

Training Capacity
The training capacity is limited to 24 participants. Pre-registration will close once the capacity is reached.

Purpose of the Training

The refresher training aims to update the knowledge and competencies of active expert witnesses regarding current legislation, implementation principles, reporting processes, and ethical standards.

The program aims to enable participants to:

Adapt to changes in current legislation,
Keep up with new approaches in expert witness practices,
Improve their skills in preparing expert witness reports, and
Strengthen their professional knowledge and competencies. Fee: Basic Training: 2,000 TL
